My name is Linda Sopp. I am a wife, mother and grandmother to some pretty amazing people. I am the oldest of 8 siblings.
Having been born and raised in Estevan and area, I have been involved with my community in many different aspects, from volunteering at the Legion, catering, to a spokesperson.
Caring for the most vulnerable of our community brings me joy, as I have worked as a Direct Support Worker for those with disabilities since 2008. I have also worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years, not to mention my time at Beaver Lumber.
I have served as a town council person in Bienfait. I am currently the President of Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, Estevan Local 25. We have been active since 2017 when the Harry Daniels case was won, and I took it upon myself to restart the Saskatchewan Chapters. We have come a long way since then.
I am also currently serving as a board member of the Souris Valley Museum since 2016.
I am serious about the concerns in my community. I will be your voice. I may be soft spoken but my voice will be heard. I want to see the schools, hospitals, small business, oil, mines and power plant thrive like we once had. I want my family and friends to be proud to say they are from Saskatchewan and that we matter.
I thank you in advance for your support.
