PC Leader Buscholl to the Moe Government: “What Did You Expect?”

Saskatoon, SK–Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan Leader Rose Buscholl is demanding to know why the Premier Scott Moe government is intentionally sabotaging negotiations with the province’s teachers in negotiations to fix the education problem.

“All the bullying and blustering from the Education Minister and the Premier predictably had no effect,” stated Buscholl. “This was a bad deal. What did they expect was going to happen?”

Over the past two days, teachers overwhelmingly voted down the government’s so-called final offer. Ninety percent of teachers opposed the offer, with 92.2 percent of members casting a vote over a two-day period.

“This has gone well past the point of absurdity,” Buscholl asserted. “This government of ours is simply not being serious in resolving the obvious issues we have with education in Saskatchewan. They presented an offer that did not address the key problems outlined by teachers: classroom size, complexity, and a funding deficit. The real question for Premier Moe is why he has chosen to make our teachers his enemy and intentionally dragging out this process. It is clear to see who the schoolyard bullies are, and it is the Premier and the Sask party. Simply put: MOE NEEDS TO GO!”
