In advance of the PC Party’s Annual General Meeting to be held in Saskatoon this weekend, we are releasing a number of documents that proves that there has been political manipulation to take over the Party, change its name and absorb it into another political party in Saskatchewan. There was an concerted attempt at the last AGM to change the Party’s constitution and allow a few members and an employee of the Party to amalgamate it with what has become the Sask United Party. That effort failed and those individuals are no longer involved with the PC Party of Saskatchewan.
Out of that effort, however, has arisen serious obstacles for the PC Party to overcome in its rejuvenation efforts. We are missing a Dell desktop computer which contains hundreds of names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of former and current members. There is also a host of financial information relating to past donors and donor lists that was developed by the PC Party between 2007 and 2018. We believe the information contained in this computer has been used to solicit members of our current executive, current Party members and past party members because of emails sent from the Sask United Party to individuals who had not provided them with this information.
As members of the media and the public are aware, there is a court action by a former executive member of the PC Party against certain individuals who blocked this takeover attempt. That action is being defended vigorously and we are confident this will show the actions of the members who preserved the PC Party will be exonerated. We are bringing these documents to the attention of the media because we believe that our computer and information should be recovered and the media can assist in this effort and we believe we need to bring integrity back to the political process in Saskatchewan.
At our AGM this weekend, we will be electing a new executive, voting on amendments to our constitution and formulating the key messages the PC Party will be utilizing during upcoming by-elections and during the general provincial election in 2024. We will be discussing this attempted takeover and asking our members if they have been contacted by the Sask United Party or any other political party without their explicit permission to use their private emails or contact information. The PC Party looks forward to the return of its property and the strengthening of the political process in Saskatchewan.
