Congratulations on a hard-fought victory. The people of Saskatchewan have entrusted in you once again the awesome responsibility of promoting their interests and taking care of them in time of need. This means your duty is to promote sound policy and competent leadership.
Here is what we want to see from you:
- Accountability-show the people of Saskatchewan you can be accountable to them. Investigate the wrongdoings of the past government, punish those guilty of defrauding its citizens, and bring about reforms to ensure corruption is mitigated in the future.
- Affordability-fix past mistakes that have been putting financial pressure on families by removing the PST on essentials like children’s clothes, food, insurance items, and other goods and services.
- Education-ensure public money goes to public education only. Full stop.
- Healthcare-access to public healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Fund it properly and ensure those funds are used as efficiently as possible for the benefit of all rather than the few.
Surely, the list could go on. But the above four are essential to getting right not just for the people of Saskatchewan in our current state, but for our children and our children’s children. Help lift our province back up to where it can be, rather than where it is. Turn the page on what has been a model of corruption, inefficiency, and incompetence these past years.
Be the part of the solution, not part of the problem and help bring good governance back to Saskatchewan.
